i envy you even more now, my dear. i am fascinated by undead, but i can never draw them because i can't draw bones for shit this is amazing :3 it really is well-done. i'm not sure what more i can say, really.
Thanks! Skulls and bones are some of my favorite things to draw. I always draw them when I get in an art block. I'm also cleaning off an actual deer skull that I found and it's going to be so cool when it's done, hehe. XD I'll admit that I'm a little obsessed with them, I've even got a skull keychain on my wallet.
I really never though bones were all that morbid, to be honest. XD And I never thought I'd be cleaning skulls until my brother mentioned a dead deer. I'm not going to go into the details of how we got the skull, haha. XD
thank you for that. i'm a tiny bit queasy on the subject of dead things, so i'd rather not know they're only really morbid because they're a constant reminder of death. though to be fair, so is having a conversation with an old person (they are OBSESSED with the subject), and no one calls that pastime morbid.
Haha, I know, I sometimes forget I have a stronger stomach than most and gross people out, so I have to check myself. Well, I suppose you're right. I see them not as a reminder of death so much as the underlying structure of living things. And I don't think I've ever talked to an old person obsessed with death, but I guess I haven't talked to very many old people. XD
you've never done such a thing around me before, for what it's worth :3 all of my elderly relatives have a morbid fascination with death. i think it's because they're paranoid and believe that they might drop dead at any given moment. and my inbox is telling me that today is your birthday, so if it that is true, then happy birthday darling!
All of my older relatives are the happiest people ever. One's even got cancer and you wouldn't know it from how she acts. I think they're more worried about helping others than how long they'll live. And thanks!
